Conway Primary School

Head Teacher's Welcome

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Conway Primary School’s website.

Conway is more than a school — it is a thriving, caring community where children are inspired to think deeply and aim high, equipped to achieve their very best. When children feel valued, respected and safe, they flourish — and our strong values of respect, trust, understanding and tolerance sit at the centre of all we do.

One of our greatest strengths is how closely our staff work together and with families. Every child is known as an individual, and we respond quickly and thoughtfully to their needs. Our staff model the same respect, resilience and curiosity that we aim to nurture in our pupils, creating a culture where everyone — adults and children alike — keeps learning and growing. This shared commitment creates strong connections across the whole community and gives children a deep sense of security and belonging.

Our vision reaches beyond academic success. We prepare children for the world they are growing into — a world that demands curiosity, creativity and courage. Emotional intelligence is woven through our curriculum: children learn to understand themselves, manage change and build strong relationships. They develop resilience, learn to solve problems and are encouraged to apply their thinking in real and meaningful ways.

We are proud to be a vibrant, multicultural and multi-faith school, with over 42 home languages enriching our community. Together we celebrate differences and learn from one another, creating a culture of inclusion and respect.

Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, nurture independence, and give children the opportunity to discover their passions and talents. By the time they leave us, they are not only achieving excellent academic outcomes but also carrying with them the confidence, compassion and strength of character to take on the next stage of their education with ambition and optimism.

We warmly welcome visits from parents and carers. We look forward to meeting you and working together to ensure your child not only succeeds but thrives — building firm foundations for a happy and fulfilling future.
