Our school meals are freshly prepared on-site each day by our dedicated in-house catering team. Pupils can choose from a range of nutritious options, including vegetarian, halal, and meat dishes, accompanied by seasonal vegetables, freshly baked bread, a salad bar, and dessert. All meals are carefully planned to be low in fat and salt while providing healthy, balanced, and flavourful choices for our children.

We are also pleased to confirm that the Mayor of London’s Universal Free School Meals programme will continue to support primary-aged pupils throughout the 2026/27 academic year. As a result, all children at Conway Primary School will be entitled to receive a school meal free of charge from September 2026 to July 2027.

Children will automatically receive their free school meal through the Mayor of London’s Universal Free School Meals programme. However, it remains extremely important that parents and carers complete the relevant school or local authority eligibility form, as their child may qualify for additional government funding through Pupil Premium. This funding provides schools with valuable additional resources, currently worth up to £1,300 per eligible pupil each year.

In addition, families who are eligible may be able to access further support and benefits offered by the local authority or school, such as assistance with food during school holidays and other targeted support programmes. We therefore encourage all parents and carers to complete an eligibility check, even if their child already receives free school meals under the Mayor’s scheme.
