At Conway, we are committed to ensuring that every child makes strong progress in every lesson.
Regardless of their starting point, our goal is for all pupils to make at least good progress over the course of the academic year. We aim for every child to leave Conway meeting age-related expectations, fully prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.

Attainment:

What does Attainment mean: This shows where a child is in relation to age-related expectations.

Attainment refers to how well pupils perform in their end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments, typically taken in Year 6 (age 10–11). These assessments measure pupils’ knowledge and skills in:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Maths
  • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS)

Statutory Assessments

These are national tests and teacher assessments conducted at specific stages:

  • Key Stage 2 (KS2): Pupils in Year 6 take national tests (SATs) in:
    • Reading
    • Maths
    • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS)
    • Writing (teacher assessed)
    • Science (teacher assessed or sample testing)

Each test produces a scaled score:

  • 100 = expected standard
  • Below 100 = working towards the standard
  • Above 110 = working above the standard
  • Scores range from 80 to 120 at KS2.

We are incredibly proud to share our outstanding KS2 results for 2025-2026, which place our school well above both the National and Greenwich Borough averages across all subjects.

Our pupils have excelled in reading, writing, maths, grammar, and science — with 83% achieving the expected standard or above in reading and maths, and over half reaching the higher standard in grammar, punctuation and spelling.

These results reflect the hard work of our dedicated staff, the enthusiasm of our learners, and the strength of our school community. With 76% of pupils meeting the expected standard across reading, writing and maths combined — and 22% achieving the higher standard — we are proud to be a school where every child is supported to thrive.

If you're looking for a school where your child can flourish academically and personally, we invite you to join our journey.
