Emergency & Business Continuity Plan

What Our School Will Do in the Event of a Natural or Man-Made Disaster

The safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff, and wider school community is our highest priority. In the event of a natural or man-made disaster, the school will implement its emergency procedures and business continuity plans to ensure a coordinated, timely, and effective response.

This may include:

  • Assessing the immediate risks to pupils, staff, and visitors.
  • Activating emergency and evacuation procedures where necessary.
  • Liaising closely with emergency services, the Local Authority, and other relevant agencies.
  • Communicating promptly with parents and carers using established communication channels.
  • Taking appropriate measures to safeguard pupils and staff during and after the incident.
  • Implementing business continuity arrangements to minimise disruption to education wherever possible.
  • Supporting the wellbeing of pupils and staff throughout the recovery process.
  • Reviewing the incident and lessons learned to strengthen future preparedness and resilience.

The school maintains comprehensive emergency plans and regularly reviews its procedures to ensure it is prepared to respond effectively to a wide range of unforeseen circumstances.
