Sports Day 2019
This year our sports days were a massive hit, the children were excellent and performed brilliantly, showing their competitive side but also how well they work as a team. Parents came and supported not only their own child but the whole team.
On Tuesday 25th July Nursery celebrated their sports day, they had different activities to show their skill they have learnt over the year there was Dress-up Relay, Tin Can Alley, Egg and spoon race, hula hoop jump and Balance walk. Each child had a go at each activity and then cheered in the people in their class.
On Wednesday 26th July KS2 travelled up to Plumstead Common for their sports day. The class teacher had already got them into their colour teams and they were ready for the whistle to blow. The children had 9 activities to compete in these were Hurdle Obstacle Course, Javelin Throwing, Passing the Baton, Tin Can Alley, Three legged race, Football dribble, Standing Long Jump, Sack race, Hula hoops throw.
All of the activities showed the skills the children had been learning over the year as well as team work and sportsmanship.
During the activities the teachers were scoring each team and at the end each teams score was combine with the others and the winner of sports day for KS2 was Red Team.
On Thursday 25th July the playground was filled with parents and children for KS1 and Receptions sports day. Each class was divided in to 4 coloured teams and headed to their first activity, they then moved around the different activities doing their best and showing their sports ability. They had the chance to compete in a Dress-up Relay, Egg and Spoon Race, Parachute, Hula hoops throw, Sack race and Tin Can Alley.
During the activities the teachers were scoring each team and at the end each teams score was combine with the others and the winner of sports day for KS1 and Reception was Yellow Team.
