End of Year 6 Celebrations
As the end of the term is fast approaching, we would like to let you know all the exciting events we have planned to mark your child’s amazing achievements this year and their next step into secondary school. Below are details of the events planned.
Year 6 trip to St Pauls Academy
As part of their preparation for their move to secondary school, the children will be attending a safety workshop held at St Pauls’ academy on Tuesday 30th June 2015. More details will be sent out in a letter in the next couple of weeks.
Year 6 Graduation
We are extremely excited, as for the very first time, we will be holding a graduation ceremony here at Conway Primary School – complete with graduation gowns, caps and awards! Parents/ Carers and family members are warmly invited to attend. Tickets will be available for free from the office nearer the time. Unfortunately, due to the limited space there will only be two tickets allocated per child. The ceremony itself will take place on Friday 10th July 2015 at 3:30pm - 4:15pm.
A professional photographer will be present to take photographs of the children as a year group, individually and in their friendship groups. These will be available to purchase through the school office. There will also be an opportunity for photographs to be taken at the end of the ceremony by family members.
On this day you will not need to collect your child at 3:05pm as they will stay in school to prepare for the ceremony.
Year 6 Prom
Following the graduation ceremony we will be holding the Prom. This will be held from 4.30pm - 6.00pm. Children will need to be picked up promptly from the school office at 6.00pm or if permission has been given, will be allowed to walk home alone. Children can bring their prom outfit into school on that day and time will be given for them to change during the afternoon before the graduation ceremony. Food and soft drinks will be available as well as lots of opportunities to dance and just have fun!!!
Year 6 Production
As is traditional, Year 6 will be putting on a spectacular production at the end of the year. The performance will take place on Wednesday 15th July 2015 starting promptly at 6:00pm and is expected to last around 45minutes. We suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time in order to find your seats. Tickets will be available for £1 each from the office nearer the time. Unfortunately due to limited space there will only be two tickets allocated per child.
Trip to Broadstairs
We are planning a fabulous day out at the seaside as a reward for all the hard work the children have put in this year. Exact details will follow in a separate letter.
In order to make these events possible, we are asking each child to contribute £25. This will cover all the expenses from the Prom and the trip to Broadstairs.
