Year 5 trip to the London Eye

On Tuesday 15th March, Year 5 went on an educational visit to the London Eye, this was to support them in their understanding of their English core text - The London Eye Mystery.

The day started off with a trip on the Thames Clipper, where the children got to see a range of London’s landmarks: The O2, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, The Tower of London and many more. They had a great time trying to spot them and guess what they were all called. Once they arrived, they could not believe how big it was.

Before riding the Eye, they got to enter the London Eye 4D experience- a virtual trip experiencing what it is like to be on the Eye during the day and at night. They were able to experience many celebrations that had taken place; snow and fireworks through the different seasons and even came face to face with a seagull. Afterwards they were able to take a real ride on the London Eye; a 30 minute, 360 degree panoramic view of the most amazing sights of London.

They had a fantastic time!
